Mt. Sinai Hospital Adolescent Health Center (www.mtsini.org) serves disadvantaged young people in New York City with comprehensive health care, which is confidential, and free of charge. The Center offers an integrated, interdisciplinary program of medical, mental health, sexual and reproductive health services, and prevention education. Many teens have serious health or mental health problems, yet few receive care. When unaddressed, the effects can be severe, undermining education and employment opportunities, with life long impacts, at an immense cost to society.
